Piggy? Piggy Piggy!

Despite being the butt of the boys' jokes and sarcasm, Piggy is the most intelligent boy on the island. He doesn't possess the leadership qualities of Ralph and has not the cunning or the ruthlessness of Jack, but Piggy remains, behind the scenes, the one who calls the shots. At least for now. At least when someone will listen.

Ralph is a charismatic if reluctant leader, who with Piggy at his side, should be viewed in the same way that we view Snowball in Animal Farm. Jack will become the island's Napoleon. In addition, be very aware of Simon and Roger. Simon, in many ways, is a "Christ-figure" in the novel, he represents goodness and kindness and love. That only leaves Roger; who then might he represent?
