The lowdown: For these 4 1/2 weeks, you will have ten assignments due, that is, ten assignments that will count. Your quiz today on CMC will not. For seniors, your first graded assignment is the Canterbury Tales Handout. For Juniors, it is the college essay that you will turn in to me no later than Monday. Your second graded assignment is the analysis/research from the Poetry By Head handout. Seniors must complete the analysis of the seven works by Friday; Juniors have until Monday. Included in your papers must be items 2 - 7 for Cat Steven's "Father and Son." Item 1 and part of Item 2 must be done in your journal. In addition, you must begin to commit to memory the seven works plus the Gettyburg Address and the first sentence of the Declaration of Independence. The schedule for recitation is clearly listed on the handout. Page four is due with your journals on an as yet undisclosed date. Do not take your requirements lightly.
The remainder of the assignments look like this:

Succesful completion of the website assignments can be accomplished in several ways. Some of you will choose to do all of the assignments as posted. You may pick and choose as you see fit. Bottom line: 1000 words (although I hate to put a number on things). Whether you do eight assignments or one, it must contain 1000 words, clearly marked in you journals. Excellent grades require excellence.
