Over the next few months we'll be fine tuning our writing. We're going to put aside our bad habits, get over being lazy about editing, and lay to rest those words and phrases that should no longer be a part of our vocabulary, especially when we write. Writing is an evolutionary process. You build on your ability from day to day. When you tackle algebra, at some point it will just click and you'll "get it." But with writing, no matter how good you are, you will change. Mark Twain changed. JK Rowling's writing matures. If you learn to edit, use your allusions and put aside bad habits, your writing too will change, for the better.
