The Beatles for me represented enlightenment. I learned what great lyrics were, what great instrumentation was, subtlety in poetry, the beauty of things simple. To me The Beatles are enigmatic; a symbol of the great things man is capable. For you that may be baseball. It may be Bugs Bunny or Grey's Anatomy or Project Runway. My point is to be passionate. Nietzsche said, "Against boredom, the gods themselves struggle in vain." Don't buy into this. There's too much great stuff out there: music, art, dance, politics, science, humming black holes, funny movies, sad ones, DisneyWorld, gardening, cars, baking, James Bond, Blink 182, Lemony Snicket, each other, your family, your girlfriend, your church, when the fries come fresh out of the grease at McDonald's, the ribs at King's, the new Mustang, the old Mustang, frozen 3 Musketeers bars... What a world!
