From Trash to Treasure

xxMost of what you'll find on this site, despite xxits exceptional value as an educational tool(!), xxis trivia, drivel, fluff, with a dash of xxeffluvium. The question then (and here I break xxmy own rule) is why? OR How will this help? Trivia is defined as interesting if useless information. The Psalm 46 post is useless information unless it can be applied. Somehow. For me, it fits in splendidly with the idea that the Bible is literature, as well as a spiritual document. Who better than the greatest writer in any language to prove this point.

The monkey thing? Does it exemplify the miracle of life? The ability to adapt or evolve? Or is it an example of why parents should listen to their children more often? That would be e for all of the above.

And in our efforts to avoid the BBB (Boring Beyond Belief) in our writing, trivia to treasure adds flavor, spice, it's the Tabasco Sauce and the "BAM" (be it Emeril or Margera).

Note to 12th Graders: Ms. Teachout, oops, Mrs. Walton, will be guiding you through the short story "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" this coming Wednesday. To Preread the story go to Here.
