Tomorrow's class is a southern thing. We're going to listen to a Zydeko inspired song (fiddles, accordions) called "I Love You, Goodbye," by Thomas Dolby. Although there's a myriad of emotions and analyses in the lyrics themselves, I was really just looking for a song that captured a southern feel. Whether you're a native Floridian or a displaced Yankee, you're a southerner now. Tonight think about what being from the south means to you. What are the cultural differences and similarities of living here in FLA? Most of this nation has never heard of a fried turkey, and sweet tea? It's a southern thing (try to order one in Illinois). Not to mention the BBQ!

As mentioned below, after we finish Lord of the Flies (Essay Test Wednesday), you'll be issued Of Mice and Men or Anthem. You'll need to read quickly, finishing the novel by December 3rd.
